ROBERT F. JILEK, SRA
Robert began his appraisal career in 1978 while working for Northwest Federal in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. In 1980, he opened his own appraisal firm on the southwest side of Chicago and has been an independent contractor ever since. He specializes in appraising single-family properties, two to four flats, vacant land, and condominiums. Robert manages the appraisal staff, provides overall strategy, and runs the operations of the company while ensuring continued growth through superior customer service. Robert received his bachelor’s of science degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. He is a state-certified residential appraiser, and he received his SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute in 1985.
Michael R. Jilek, MAI, SRA
Michael has been appraising properties in the Chicagoland area for more than 13 years. He started his real estate career in January 2002 as an appraiser at Jilek & Associates. After gaining six years of experience with residential appraisals and taking advanced continuing education courses, Michael was awarded his SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute. Subsequently, Michael opted to leave Jilek & Associates in order to pursue his Certified General License. After gaining three years of experience appraising commercial properties with Renzi & Associates and Integra Realty Resources – Chicago, Michael earned his Certified General License. Shortly thereafter, Michael returned to Jilek & Associates in October 2013 to build and expand the commercial side of the business. He was awarded his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2015.
KAREN J. JILEK
Karen has been appraising properties in the Chicagoland area for more than 25 years. She began her residential appraising career in March 1985 at Jilek & Associates. She specializes in one-to four family residences, condominiums and vacant land. In addition, she has been an FHA appraiser for more than 15 years. A native of the Chicago area, Karen Jilek has a thorough understanding of Chicago and its south suburbs.
JOSEPH J. BINDER, SRA
Joe has been actively engaged in appraising since 1986. He specializes in single family residences, condominiums, and multi-unit dwellings. Joe began his real estate career with Associated Property Counselors, Inc., and he has been an employee at Jilek & Associates for nearly 25 years. Joe graduated with a bachelor of arts degree and a master’s degree in education from Loyola University. He is a state-certified appraiser and received his SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute.
PETER PARRILLI
Peter has been a real estate appraiser since 1993. He first started his real estate appraising career as a Staff Appraiser for Standard Federal Bank for Savings. His main areas of concentration are single-family, and 2-4 multi-unit properties as well as condominium residences in the Chicagoland area. Peter has been an employee at Jilek & Associates since February 2000. In 2004, he became a state-certified appraiser and he has been an FHA appraiser since 2005. He is a lifelong City of Chicago resident and he currently resides on the southwest side of Chicago. He has been happily married for 21 years and he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and dog, golfing, vacationing and attending Chicago Blackhawks games as a season ticket holder.
DANIEL J. JILEK
Dan graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2011. Thereafter, he began his professional career as an athletic trainer for Athletico Physical Therapy. Dan decided to recently change his career path and has joined the family appraisal business. Dan is an associate real estate trainee appraiser and he plans to gain hands-on experience while working alongside the experienced appraisers at Jilek & Associates.
MARIBETH WHITE
Maribeth has served as the office manager for Jilek & Associates for the past 13 years. She is responsible for managing the office and maintaining client relations. She facilitates appraisal requests, bids and new assignments from all of our clients. She organizes and coordinates office operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
